When the youngest member of the Stevens family needed medical treatment, the entire family left their duty station in Germany to be with young Caleb in Bethesda, Maryland. Fisher House eased the burdens so the family could focus on his wellness.

Clemie and Rosiland Roberts stay at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center Fisher House when Clemie is undergoing medical care for problems with his spine. Clemie is a Vietnam War veteran who flew surveillance aircraft during and after the war. The California couple loves meeting other families at the house.

Jerome and Suzanne Spaulding stayed at the Fisher House after their son Adrian was injured in an accident off base. Adrian was based at Andrews Air Force when he was injured in a motorcycle crash. His parents came to his side to help keep him on the right path through recovery.

12/10/2024 Army Family Travels to Soldier and Finds Relief and Comfort at Fisher House
In February 2024, Sgt. 1st Class Manuel "Tony" Antonio Martino was a few weeks into a five-week senior leaders’ course at Fort Bliss, Texas when he started to feel unwell. Over the next two weeks, his symptoms worsened: his speech became slurred, and he sent odd text messages, yet he persevered through the course. On graduation day, his wife Shawnna, who remained at Fort Liberty, North Carolina where they are based, insisted that he go to the hospital.
